SBCL 1.0.22

Posted on Thu, 30 Oct 2008
SBCL 1.0.22 has been released. I forgot to make an entry in the NEWS file for this, but with this release binaries which are built on OS X 10.5 (Leopard) should run on OS X 10.4 (Tiger). New binaries for 32- and 64-bit Intel systems as well as PowerPC systems are now available for download. The previous binary for PowerPC systems was well over a year old. I'll be keeping that binary more up to date from now on.

Those who want to use SBCL for delivering applications that accept arbitrary command-line arguments will appreciate Zach Beane's patch for saving runtime options in saved executables, which allows the SBCL runtime leave all command line argument processing to the toplevel. For details, see the NEWS.

For those who are interested in doing scripting with SBCL, there is a new --script argument for using SBCL as a #! interpreter. The documentation has not yet been updated on the web site, but some details are available on the SBCL mailing list.
